“Mr. Super Baller” mixtape will be given away to fans for free via download from Lil Blacky’s myspace page (www.myspace.com/thereallilblacky). The mixtape features Lil Blacky on new songs with Chicano Rap artists; Nino Brown, DTTX of Lighter Shade of Brown, Zig Zag of NB Ridaz, Chino Grande of Charlie Row Campo, Malow Mac, Doll-e Girl, Weeto and L Boy. Also features new songs with Pimp Rollin Records artist Lil Sicko, Trav, Pops and Big Dave.
At 15 years old, while attending high school in Riverside, CA, Ernest Hernandez decided to dedicate his life to music. He started writing raps and took his childhood nick name Lil Blacky as his stage name.
At 16 years old Lil Blacky released his first album titled "World Famous Young and Dangerous". The independent album was released in 1999 and went on to sell over 10,000 units locally. Lil Blacky established himself as new young prospect in the west coast rap scene. Former N.W.A manager and Hit-A-Lick Records CEO Jerry Heller saw the potential and signed Lil Blacky to Hit-A-Lick Records in 2000.
While at Hit-A-Lick Records Lil Blacky recorded his second Independent album titled "Big Ballin". Released in 2000 "Big Ballin" featured production from, 99.1 DJ and former Lighter Shade of Brown Member, ODM. The national release sold over 50,000 albums and spent 14 weeks on Billboards top 100 Independent albums during 2002.
Between 2003 and 2008 Lil Blacky released 5 nationally distributed compilations featuring new music from himself, other top acts in Chicano rap and new artist signed to his own imprint Pimp Rollin Records. Lil Blacky also established himself as an international artist moving 5,000 units in Japan during 2006. He is currently working on expanding his international reach to France, Germany, Russia, and Mexico.
Lil Blacky is currently working on his long awaited 3rd solo album titled "It Iz What It Iz" scheduled to be released later this year. In the mean time, a mixtape featuring new music from Lil Blacky is set to be released in August.
